Her unique style focuses on the colours and ambience of racing and country sports. Painting mainly in pastel, but equally adept with oils, her work shows an honesty and understanding of both her craft and her subject. Although better known for her equine studies, Karen’s paintings of her native Kenya mark her down as a truly all round artist

Elena Mikhailova is a Russian artist who hails from the South-Western Siberia city of Novokuznetsk. To most minds Siberia always means one thing – extreme cold. Elena immediately dispels all that with her warm personality and infectious humour. In fact, her paintings with their lyricism and generous use of strong colour exude a candescence that is engaging and compelling.
She came to Ireland via America where she had furthered her artistic studies. Since arriving she has been in constant demand through private work numerous exhibitions and galleries.
Elena is recognised as an artist of remarkable talent. Her inspired use of the brush and palette evokes affectionate scenes of cities and landscapes of Ireland and the world. Of particular note is her use of light to capture the varying moods of the cities. Her portraiture too is most striking, she seems to be able to capture the very essence of a person in a most extraordinary manner. Her paintings of children are just captivating and one almost expects them to walk out of the canvas.
For those of you that love horses, she has certainly touched a cord here with her oils of flat and national hunt scenes carrying all the resonance of the moment itself.
Thierry FAURE was born in 1944.He was first a rider; he pursued a career in eventing and show jumping during 40 years, always strongly sticking to his status of "amateur” as an instructor, he opened a riding school from 1969 to 1977.
In 1976, he began to breed eventing and show jumping horses, and has always shown his preference for thoroughbred...
In 1977, encouraged by the family artistic atmosphere, he came back to drawing and painting, and held his first exhibition in 1983.
In 1985, he began to paint professionally.
Thierry exhibits now in his home "La Boulaye" in Brittany, and in galleries in France: Rennes, Versailles, Saint Malo, Paris.; England in Cirencester; Ireland in Naas. Every year, he exhibits his pictures at the Badminton's Event and the Dublin's Horse Show.
Though horses and hounds were the first traveling companions of Thierry they have now become a pretext. He now adds to this theme music and dance where he finds a new world of colors, light and movement.
Above all, his work is a quest for harmony, precarious and dynamic balances where the drawing, his first passion, structures the great elation of colors
