Paddock Notes Ladies from the National Hunt Limited Edition Print (54x39cm approx) Framed €150

Ladies of the Flat and National Hunt is one of David Dents most popular prints. It depicts a collection of “characters” from the world of Flat Racing and Steeplechasing and the notes underneath each character make for some very risqué reading. The Dent Brothers are well placed to have an opinion on horse racing today. They are regular visitors to many of Britains racecourses including Newbury, Cheltenham and Chepstow to name but a few. They are also ardent supporters of Point to Points in Wales.

Description

THE DENTS HAVE BEEN OFFICIAL RACECOURSE ARTISTS TO CHEPSTOW, CHELTENHAM, ST.MORITZ AND PARDUBICE AMONG OTHER RACECOURSES OVER THE YEARS AND HAVE BEEN PAINTING THE RACING SUBJECT PROFESSIONALLY SINCE 1984.

They work in a variety of media: oils watercolours and pastels; and have an extensive collection of giclee and limited edition prints. They work in a variety of techniques ranging from classical to impressionist to avant garde images to convey the many dimensions of their passion for the horse.

The Dents are world renowned equine artists and have been instrumental in particular in promoting steeplechasing to a new generation; bringing to life the action and spectacle of the game in their dynamic and atmospheric images . But they also have other subjects: flat racing, horses in general, hunting and hounds, wildlife, erotic and fashion images, and others.
